Somehow the Tipper Gore phenom went past the 80's and started driving parents mad with obsessive parenting. Suddenly you had to watch your kid all the time, couldn't let them play in the dirt, god forbid they get a sniffle. Overprotective hoverparents.

Back in my day we didn't blame the older generation for our poor upbringing. Plus I am pretty d*** sure none of us raised any of you to like Beiber or sparkly vampires, no bygod we raised you to like hard rock and John Wayne movies. WTF happened?
