I realize that this comment is coming 6 1/2 months after verrin made his/hers. The Supreme Court of the US declared that Atheism IS a religion. It DOES have dogma, that there is no God; scripture, the writings of its "prophets," and ideologies.
A common misconception is "Atheism is a religion". That's like saying "bald" is a hair colour, or "not collecting stamps" is a hobby. Atheism has no dogma, scripture, or ideologies. It's the absence of those things. Atheism is the absence of religion.
Wow, this person fails so bad. "In God we Trust" wasn't put onto our money untill 1964 or so and it was a response to the Cold War situation. I'm an Atheist. "I don't care if they committed a crime, they are the reason crime is rampant." Such a hard fail.
